How to use this training & source
Based on all 29 diagrams in the Towson Rec Council defensive situation booklet. Each situation uses that team’s assignments; your coach may call a different rotation. The field, throw lengths and timing are illustrative. One out is our practice setup—the booklet does not specify outs.
A covered bag gives the defense a receiver and a short return throw when a runner makes a mistake. A runner must be off the bag for a tag opportunity; an out is never automatic. Legally overrunning first, without attempting second, is not itself grounds for a tag out. On a caught fly, runners must retouch before advancing.
Play or pause at any time, rewind or drag the timeline, then choose another throw at a decision point. Changing a condition starts a new comparison. “At pickup” jumps to the first throwing decision. “Show booklet play” demonstrates the recommended destination. Existing throws remain replayable until you reset or branch.
